The RDF Industry Group is urging the European Commission to require integrated melting plugs and/or over-pressure safety valves on all nitrous oxide (N₂O) canisters placed on the EU market, regardless of intended use.
Our letter highlights the risks discarded canisters pose to waste workers, alongside equipment damage and disruption to waste treatment, and calls for canisters to be safer by design.
