After a successful year in the role, Robert Corijn has been re-elected as Chair of the RDF Industry Group. Robert, Marketing Manager for Attero, has over nine years’ experience in the energy-from-waste industry. He will continue to guide the Group’s work on preparing for Brexit over the coming months.
Robert commented:
“I look forward to continuing to represent the interests of all those involved in the export of RDF from the UK and Republic of Ireland. As a group we have been concerned about the impact of a no-deal EU exit on RDF export for some time, and we will be continuing our work with both the UK government and EU Member States to help our members prepare for Brexit.”
Andy Jones, Managing Director of Totus Environmental, has been elected as the Group’s Vice Chair – a new role created for 2019. Andy has spent over 25 years working in the waste management industry, specifically in the hazardous and alternative fuel markets. Andy has facilitated the import and export of waste streams internationally, since the inception of TFS legislation in 1996. He will be supporting Robert in his Group responsibilities.
